This
Is a vintage 1962 Mickey Mantle Roger Maris Official Home Run Derby
game. The cover to this game (not shown) is key to the value of this game. Made of a clear see through plastic
bag it pictures two caricature drawings of
Mickey Mantle, and Roger Maris with an
orange outline of the Yankee Stadium facade. (pictured
below) This game
made by standard Toykraft is rare, and with the cover in
near mint condition can between for $400.-$600.
The baseball game is played by throwing Styrofoam balls at prongs contained within the target areas. The cover would be very rare being made of the type of plastic that could be easily torn, Most of them were probably thrown out quickly after use.
