This
bank is a 50's reproduction of a turn of the century
mechanical bank titled Hometown Darkies. It is more
politically correct than the 19th century original (
pictured below right) that portrayed
stereotype black players. This one is titled Hometown
Battery. It is made of cast iron. The same process was
used to make this Authentic Reproduction as the original
was made .Molds were made from the original
