NOTES:

This is a Rich "Goose" Gossage Autograph Sample, signed on a Baseball
The signature was Authenticated by Steiner Sports.
A Goose Gossage single signed baseball is worth about $50.-$75., and about $30.-$60. for an 8 x 10 photo. Signatures Authenticated in person by reputable companies like Steiner Sports will sell for more.

Value is based on average prices of recently closed auctions. Prices may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature. Signatures that have not been properly authenticated could sell at half the market value or less. Add for inscriptions.

Collectors will pay more for inscriptions such as "HOF 2008" and pay less for personalized inscriptions like "Good Luck Chuck"

Below are two examples of signatures; one on a Baseball, and the other on a "Flat" 8x10 photo. Autographs may vary depending on the Item signed. It is a little harder to sign on a Round Baseball, awkward to sign a bat, than to sign on a "Flat" Item such as a photograph or baseball card. In the case of the two "Goose" Gossage  examples below there are not much of a difference.

Joe DiMaggio had trouble signing Baseballs in the later stages of his life because of arthritis. Signature variations were more noticeable, and in fact he charged a little more for baseballs, and at one point discontinued signing them at all at public signings.

TIP! Don't Forget to keep your Autographs Away from a lot of Light, especially sunlight! Even reflected sunlight will take its toll.

The Ideal conditions for display would be indirect lighting, at a room temperature of 65 - 70 degrees, and 50% humidity. Always check your signatures periodically for signs of fading or deterioration, and avoid excessive handling.

Visit the Single Signed Baseball Price Guide for values on other players.
