This is a Ty Cobb Autograph Sample. This is a "cut Signature" signed on a 3" x 31/2" piece of paper. This signature was Authenticated by GAI Certified (pictured below).

A Cut Signature is a signature on a small piece of paper, or "cut" from a larger piece. The lowest Item in value for a signature. Index cards are the next step up in value, and both sell at a fraction of the higher priced Photos, Baseballs, Bats, and equipment. Cut Signatures are often cut from an item that has been ruined to save its value such as a baseball card, cover of a publication, photograph, letter or notebook on which it was originally signed. "Cuts" are commonly used for inserts by baseball card companies.

A Ty Cobb single signed baseball is worth about $15,000. - $20,000.. A Ty Cobb signed Photo is worth about $3,500.-$5,000. Larger and more desired photos could sell for more.

Value is based on average prices of recently closed auctions. Prices may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the baseball. Signatures that have not been properly authenticated could sell at half the market value or less. Add for inscriptions.

TIP! Don't Forget to keep your Autographs Away from a lot of Light, especially sunlight! Even reflected sunlight will take its toll. The Ideal conditions for display would be indirect lighting, at a room temperature of 65 - 70 degrees, and 50% humidity. Always check your signatures periodically for signs of fading or deterioration, and avoid excessive handling.
