The
1953-1955 Dormand Baseball Series Postcard
set consist of 45 cards numbered 101 -140. The postcard sized cards
(3 1/2" x 5 1/2") were produced by Louis
Dormand who worked primarily at Yankees Stadium and Ebbets Field. He produced postcards so that players could satisfy their fans request for photos and autographs.
The postcards were sold for 10 cents each at the
stadium. The front of the postcard features a color
kodachrome photo pose of the player with a facsimile
signature. The back of the card features a standard
postcard format with a short player bio, and a "Dormand
natural color baseball series No." (101 -140)
