consists of 25 cards that measure 2 9/16" x 3
5/8".
The Johnston
Cookie company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin issued its first
of three regional sets featuring the Milwaukee Braves in
1953. The cards could be found in their Pops Cookies
packages or by mail order. From 1953 to 1955 the
Johnston Cookie Company produced some of
the nicest sets of the era. Including Aaron, Spahn,
Mathews, Bruton, Burdette, Crandall, Adcock, and
others. Pictured above is Eddie Mathews, and
below Warren Spahn. Reprints of this set have
been issued.
