The
1954 Red Heart Dog Food baseball card set consist of 33 cards that measure
2 5/8" x 3 3/4" The unnumbered cards
were issued in three 11 card series, and made available
through a mail in offer from Red Heart by sending in two
dog food can labels along with ten cents. The mail-in
offer was also available in the Sunday comic section of
the local newspaper during the baseball season. The
front of the card features a color player portrait, with the
players name centered inside a yellow, red or blue
colored diamond shape, and below the in black letters is
the full team name. The back of the grey, and black
print card had a short player profile, personal
information, stats and a "Red Heart The Big League
