The 1958
Hires Root Beer Baseball Card
set consist of 66 cards, numbered 10 - 76 that measure 2 1/2" X
3 1/2" Card number 69 was not issued. A test set was issued
earlier featuring numbers 1-8. The cards were issued through the purchase of
a 6 pack of Hires Root Beer. The cards were inserted into the carton
of a six pack with a tab that was attached to the baseball card,
separated by perforation. Cards with the tab still intact have a
higher collectors value. The front of the card features a color player
picture, framed by a "knothole in a brown wooden fence",
Player's name, position, and team below. The back of the card features
a player profile, a picture of Hires Root Beer, and a bottle cap
with the card number within. Below is a
