This is a store model baseball bat. This style baseball
bat stamped Spalding; "Players name";
Autograph, was made between 1908, and 1920. A professional game
model bat would have a "hand turned" knob. Hall of Fame
catcher Roger Bresnahan played between 1897 - 1915, and
his most notable contributions to the game were in protective
equipment. Roger Bresnahan was the first catcher to wear shinguards
which he designed after Cricket pads.
