This
is a Circa late 1950s Denkert G85 Bobby Richardson Baseball
glove. Denkert manufacturing glove designs feature; a "Pro
Master" stamping, and a full one piece leather, Barrel
style, double anchored web. The glove has a Patent Date of
6-19-1956, No. 2,750,594.
M. Denkert & Co. was a
manufacture of leather sporting goods founded by Mitchell
Denkert in 1900. The M. Denkert & Co. was the main
supplier of dozens of private labeled brands in addition
to the Denkert Brand of baseball gloves. Private labels
include: Marathon, Olympic, R.H. Macy Co. JC Higgins
(sears) and many others. M. Denkert & Co. closed its
business in 1973.
