Finger" Baseball
Glove. This great example of a 1920s style baseball
glove has Loops sewn into the forefinger, and thumb that are connected by lace.
The 1920s brought many experiments with web design. It is
generally accepted that fielders gloves with unlaced
fingers "Split Finger" are considered
prewar (WWII) models or styles while gloves with the
fingers laced are considered postwar models, or styles.
Prewar store bought model baseball gloves of Hall
of fame ballplayers can range in price from Luke Appling
$50. - $150. to Babe Ruth, and Lou Gehrig
