This
is a circa late 1940s early 1950s Joe Jackson Nokona BM71
Baseman's Mitt. This model design is similar to "The
Latch" model introduced by Nokona in 1948. Banned from
baseball after the 1919 World Series scandal, Black Sox
member Shoeless Joe Jackson continued to endorsed baseball
gloves with Nokona into the 1950s.
The Mitt
has the Nokona
logo which features native American Indian Chief Peta Nocona.
