NOTES:

This is a vintage late 1970's Mark "The Bird" Fidrych Wilson A2264 Baseball Glove. This autograph model baseball glove features a Mark "The Bird" Fidrych facsimile signature, with Dual Hinge webbing. Most common flaws with Gloves are: loose or broken lacing/webbing, Dry or cracking leather, ripped Manufacturer label on back, printing on glove worn out, and the person who owned of the glove, name on it.

Mark Fidrych became an instant national celebrity beating the Yankees 5-1 on National television on June 28, 1976 with his antics on the field. He would crouch down on the pitcher's mound and pat down cleat marks, what became known as "manicuring the mound", talk to himself, talk to the ball, aim the ball like a dart, strut around the mound after every out, and throw back balls that "had hits in them," If his team made a good play behind him, Mark Fidrych would run up to them as they came off the field and shake their hand vigorously.

Mark Fidrych went on to win a total of 19 games pitching for the Detroit Tigers, led the league in ERA (2.34) and complete games (24), was the starting pitcher in that year's All-Star Game, won the American League Rookie of the Year Award, and finished second in voting for the Cy Young Award. Mark's career was cut short by injury only appearing in 27 game the following four years.
