This
is a vintage 1958 Rawlings 60th Anniversary Black
cloth glove patch
which
appeared on Rawlings gloves made in 1958. Also referred
to as a "gold patch," a glove with this label
will sell for more money than the same model with the
standard red Rawlings patch. The cloth Rawlings label is
black with gold writing, and gold border stitching. The
few that I have seen (Mickey Mantle Models) sold for
about $25.to $50. more than the same type of glove from
the same era. Below left is a Mickey
Mantle Rawlings advertising from 1958.
