above is a Circa 1950s Wilson A2781 Jim Gentile Baseman's Mitt.
The 1950's Wilson A2781 manufacturing glove designs featured; a "Snap
Action" hinge, "Grip-Tite Pocket" and "True
Trap" web. The earlier A2781 Baseman mitt pictured above
had a trapper style web. The 1960's Wilson A2781 had a "one
piece style leather web" or "Barrel" like web similar to
the webs used on fielders gloves. (pictured below right)
