The Guy's Potato Chip's pin set
consists of 20 Major League teams. The pins measure 15/16
inches and were inserted into bags of Guy's Potato Chips in 1962, 1964,1965, and 1966. The
years of the pins can be distinguished by the back of the
pin. The backs are stamped with the logo of Guy's
Potato Chips, with the exception of the 1962 pins, which
were left blank. The 1964 pins have the logo but no date, and
the dates were included in 1965, and 1966. The front
of the pins feature the City and team Nickname for each
major League team, but official colors and Logos were not
used. Colors do vary from year to year. Los Angeles was
dropped from the Angels pin in 1966 and left blank
(California* Angels) The Houston Colts team name was
changed to Astros* in 1966.
In 1965 and 1966 the
20 pins could be redeemed for a "Free Official Baseball",
by attaching them to a Guy's Potato Chips "Official Order
Form, and mailing them in.
