NOTES:

This is a 1965 New York Yankees Official Program and Scorecard. This program features the promotion for the First ever Bat Day held at Yankee Stadium on June 20th 1965.  As Recorded in a 1966 Yankees Program " A record high major league Attendance mark for 1965 was set at Yankee Stadium on Bat Day. Appropriately held on Fathers Day.....Because a big turnout is expected, based on similar experiences by other American league clubs, Dads are urged to buy or order their tickets now, and assure their youngsters of Yankee Bats."  The following year an article appearing in the 1966 Yankees Scorecard noted that "A record high major league Attendance mark for 1965 was set at Yankee Stadium on Bat Day" .......71,245 Fans ! Programs such as this are a great way of dating memorabilia. the Mickey Mantle Bat on the right would appear to be from the same year as the Bobby Richardson bat on the left from this ad, but the difference is the Richardson bat has a Registered trade mark on the center label where as the Mickey Mantle bat does not. Other years the New York Yankees issued Bat Day Bats Have the Players name in print, and New York Yankees in script. Look for variation like this to date your Bat. I would imagine that the bats from other "Bat Days" from other ball Parks would have the printing variations for dating, made by Louisville Slugger
