Mickey
Mantle's Backyard Baseball. This toy has a red stick with a
heavy cord attached with a ball, for batting practice. The ball features
a Mickey Mantle Facsimile
signature. The stick similar to a mini stickball Bat
measures 21. 1/2 inches, and has a yellow Mickey
Mantle's backyard baseball sticker at one end. Originally retailed for $1.98 as shown This
Toy can easily sell for $200.+ in its original condition.
I've even seen them go for $400 in Gem mint out of the
retailers shipping box, but that was also before the
Ebay days. Often you will find them opened or missing
the top tag or the inside packing, and you might be
able to grab it for under $100. The Photo on the bottom Left is a full picture of
the toy. The photo far right is another variation of the
insert label that I have come across.
