This
is a great vintage souvenir tote bag that was either
sold at the old Pittsburgh Pirates Forbes Field
or it was a stadium give away. I am dating this bag as
pre 1962, could be from the 1950s. The Pittsburgh
Pirates yearbooks from at least as far back as 1953
to 1962 had the same style "S" in Pirates. In
1963 and after they stop using this style. pictured
below right. Teams normally use the same style art work
on most of their souvenirs for that particular year. I
am leaning towards dating this bag to 1962 because of
the baseball that appears on the pirate hat, and the
side of the bag with the picture of Forbes Field.
This baseball theme is consistent with the 1962 yearbook
shown below left. I will post more accurate information
as I get it. Because of it's rarity the estimated price
range of $30. - $75. could be conservative.
