NOTES:
 
    Produced by Stan-The-Man Inc., and Pressed by RCA Records, "Stan-The-Man's Hit Record" was released April 30, 1963. The 33 1/3 LP album was accompanied with the Stan-The-Man's Hit Record Batting Instructions booklet. Both were made available at Phillips 66 gas stations, Free with a minimum fill of 8 gallons of gas, and continued as long as the supply of records lasted. The offer varied from station to station. Some Phillips 66 Gas Station dealers made the record available for $1.00.

 "To Help you be a Big League batter," the 44 minute recording features Stan Musial with Joe Garagiola. In his own words, Stan Musial tells you how to grip the bat, stand, swing, bunt-all the batting secrets that make Stan a 7-tIme National League champion. While Stan tells you how to hit...he also shows you how in the booklet of 21 action pictures included with every record. In addition, this exciting album features highlights of actual game broadcasts, such as Stan's 300th hit on May 13, 1958, his home run that won the 1955 All-Star Game, and when he surpassed Honus Wagner for the National League hit record by picking up career hit 3,431.st hit. The Back cover lists his 46 batting records at the end of 1962.
