1917-1918 Spalding Official National league Baseballs now
feature the word "Cork" to the left of "Official" and
"Center" to the right, on the sweetspot. The full
word "Patented" Replaces the abbreviated "Pat'd" on the
paten date line below "REG. U.S. PATEN OFF."
The 1917-1918 baseballs have the wide stitch logo.
This logo can be used to differentiate 1918 baseballs from
1919 baseballs that lack the Presidential signature on the
east panel.
