is a 1923
New York Yankees World Series Press Pin. The 1923 World
Series featured the cross town rivals New York
Yankees, and the New York Giants for the
third straight time. This time the Yankees would take
the series four games to two in their new ballpark, Yankee
Stadium. Baseball's grand cathedral, Yankees Stadium,
opened in 1923 playing host to the Yankees first
of many World Series titles. Press
Pins which have been distributed since 1911, are
distributed to members of the media by the host teams
for the World Series games. The press pins
are made to be worn on the lapel to provide reporters
