NOTES:

The 1979 Wiffle Ball vending box was used by the retailer to display 12 Regulation Baseball Size Wiffle Balls. (the Wiffle balls also came in Softball & Junior Sizes) Each one of the Wiffle balls came in a box that had "Free Baseball Discs." There were 12 different boxes with 60 cards. Five players printed on each box, three facing out and two facing in. There were 14 Wiffle bat & ball sleeves with two players on each, that make up the other 28 player discs, for a total set of 88 Hand Cut player discs. The baseball discs are licensed by the MLBPA - Major League Baseball Players Association MLB.

The top of the red box folds up, and with the bottom tab tucked into the back, the Thurman Munson Sports Spectacular die cut pop out. The Die Cut reads,  "SPORTS SPACTACULAR" at the top centered with a black & white head shot of Thurman Munson. To the left reads "THURMAN MUNSON RECOMMENDS" and "N.Y. YANKEES" to the right.

Bellow  the die cut reads, "the Original and Only WIFFLE BALL"  The bottom flap at, and below the fold from left to right reads, "Curve it!" to the left of an illustarted Batter hitting a ball with a yellow star background, and to the right reads "Bat It" centered is a Wiffle ball that reads "REGULATION BASEBALL" The far right reads "FREE BASEBALL DISCS WITH THE PURCHASE OF ORIGINAL WIFFLE BALLS" pictured below is a Joe Morgan player disc.

The front of the box is nearly identical with minor variations. Below the "WIFFLE BALL REGULATION BASEBALL SIZE" reads "COLLECT AND TRADE YOUR FAVORITE MAJOR LEAGUERS 88 PLAYERS AVAILABLE" to the right pictures a Jim Rice player disc. The right panel of the box with the same information pictures a Greg Luzinski player disc, the left panel Tom Seaver.

The back of the box reads: A tough rubbery plastic ball light in weight design to take the place of baseball in confined areas. primarily an outdoor ball also good indoors. will not damage property.
