NOTES:

Pack of three Babe Ruth plastic baseballs manufactured by the Empire toy company of Tarboro, NC. In 1962 Empire introduced a number of Babe Ruth Plastic Bat and Ball Sets. By 1966, Empire produced a plastic Babe Ruth Home Run King Slugger baseball bat that featured a "Babe Ruth Signature" on the barrel. The plastic baseballs were also sold separately and as with the Bat & Ball sets, sold in discount stores such as Woolworth.

The package contained 3 plastic regulation size baseballs. The blue header simlpy reads "BABE RUTH" in white letters. The top of the bag illustrates two boys, one hitting a ball with a bat, and the other attempting to catch the ball. Above the fielder is the Empire company logo that reads "By Empire Tarboro North Carolina."

Empire owned by Carolina enterprises was a major supplier of plastic toys to chain stores and mail order houses since 1939. In the 1990's the company produced the popular Mighty Morphin Power Rangers figurines.
