NOTES:

As advertised - "You Manage...in the most exciting realistic baseball game you've ever played..." Taking advantage of the 1969 Miracle Mets World Series Victory, Gil Hodges' Pennant Fever board game hit the shelves in 1970. "You direct the action for every team in the National and American Leagues."

Over 600 individually rated players. Power hitters like Tony Perez, Boog Powell, and Frank Howard. Spray hitters like Pere Rose, and Curt Flood. Strong arm starters like Juan Marichal and Tom Seaver. Pennant fever puts you right in the dugout... deciding weather sluggers like Johnny Bench and Hank Aaron take the 3-0 pitch or swing for the fences.

RGI is the trade name of Research Games Inc., an American board game publisher located in New Jersey. During the late 1960s and early 1970s, the company published games such as; Vince Lombardi Football, Fast Break Basketball with Oscar Robertson, The Violent World of Pro Hockey with Rod Gibert, and Gil Hodges Pennant Fever. In 1972 RGI released Pennant Fever without the Gil Hodges endorsement.

The game came with, a combination game board/scorecard, roster sheet of major league teams, fielding charts, connects! chart, 2 sets of batting cards (3 white and 3 green) 2 sets of pitching strategy cards (5 white and 5 green) 4-page Pennant Fever Newsletter, instructions sheet, grease pencil, 4 dice, and 3 blue plastic markers. The grease pencil was used for the scorecard which "Wipes clean with any dry or slightly dampened cloth"
