From 1962-69, Transogram made a number
of plastic products that featured
baseball Hall of Famers Mickey Mantle
and Willie Mays. In the first year, the
endorsement contract with Transogram
earned the two players more money in
royalties than they did from playing
baseball with their respective ball
clubs that year.
The 30" Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays
"Safe Soft Durable Plastic" Bat n' Ball set was manufactured by
the New York based, Transogram Co.
Inc., and hit the market around
1967-1969. Transogram produced a number
of Mickey Mantle and Willie mays bat
and ball sets which included; sets with
18" & 33" bats, number of balls,
different size balls, baseball,
sofball, Zipee ball with air holes,
pitch up devices, Pitch O Matic, Pitch
N Catch Net, and more...
