NOTES:

Invented and Patented in 1946 by Maximilian C. Meyer, the Pro Baseball game was manufactured by the P M Game Co. of 389-5th Avenue, New York 16, NY.  "Educational and recreational," this mechanically operated baseball game was designed to be substantially governed by the discretional acts of judgment exercised in playing the game of baseball. All pays; pitching, batting, and base running are all "Voluntary." just as in big league baseball, players with the most skills win. "The Gift for Youth or Adult"...Say Chuck Dressen & Casey Stengel, the game is endorsed by Members of Organized baseball.

The game can be played by 1-9 persons represented on each team. Play begins with the pitcher placing the ball between his index finger and middle finger and manipulates his hand from right to left with deceptive and false motions to deceive the batter before he completes his serve. To pitch an "Incurve" manipulate the ball to the right cavity in battery, "Outcurve" to the left cavity, and "Fast Straight" to the center cavity. The pitcher then spins the playing field counter-clockwise.

The Batter may strike at the pitched ball or allow it to pass, once the playing field revolves. If the batter chooses to hit at the pitched ball, he strikes one of the three bats with his index finger. A strike is charged against the batter if he attempts to connect and misses it, or when a ball is hit out of the revolving playing field-regarded as a foul ball. If the batter permits the ball to pass, by raising his index finger, a strike is charged if the ball was paced on the "Straight Fast" cavity, a ball is charged when the batter passes on a ball placed in the Incurve or Outcurve cavity.

Play is scored by where the ball lands using the key abbreviations on the inner wall of the playing field. Numbers 1-9 representing each position as according to official scorekeeping, and is recorded in the score pad provided. All established regular baseball rulings apply. Four pegs are placed in the holes along the first base line to be used when needed. Three Pegs are used for base runners, to be inserted into a hole at each base, and one peg is used to  keep track of outs. See Complete Rule Book Here.
