NOTES:

The Mantle and Mays Baseballs, product no. 3144, were manufactured by the Transogram Company Inc., N.Y. in 1967. From 1962-69, Transogram made a number of plastic products that featured baseball Hall of Famers Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays. In the first year, the endorsement contract with Transogram earned the two players more money in royalties than they did from playing baseball with their respective ball clubs that year. The Copyright MCMLXVII (1967) Transogram Company Inc. Mantle & Mays baseballs came with three regulation size baseballs.

Both sides of the red, white & black die-cut cardboard package that houses the three balls pictures black & white head shots of Mickey Mantle on the left, and Willie Mays on the right. At the bottom after the Transogram trademark logo reads "The Champions Choice" In 1965 No. 3144 came with 3 baseballs in a bag, 3144C, 3 baseballs in a tray. The same style package but yellow and blue & black.
