    This A-T-O (American-LaFrance-Totedo) Advertisement was featured in the July and September 1971 issues of Boys' Life Magazine. Early in 1971, A-T-O who owned Rawlings since 1969, acquired Adirondack Industries. Makers of baseball gloves, bats, shoes, baseballs, and uniforms. The cover of the July 1971 Boys' Life Magazine features Johnny Bench. The September issue Brooks Robinson.

 In the ad, through an order form at the bottom, ATO offers a 12" x 18" print of Norman Rockwell's painting of Brooks Robinson for $1.00 or a 25" x 38" poster for $2.00. The print is identical to the advertisement but without the text. The bottom left boarder reads "© A-T-O Inc., 1971."

 ATO commissioned Norman Rockwell to do the painting. After winning the 1970 World Series MVP awatd, Brooks Robinson went to Norman Rockwell's studio in January 1971 to pose for the piece. Rockwell painted himself into the portrait. He is the gentleman in the upper right corner smoking a cigar.

 Norman Rockwell 11.75" x 17.25" prints were given away to all the fans that attended "Thanks Brooks Day" on September 18, 1977 at Memorial Stadium. The bottom boarder reads: "Gee Thanks, Brooks!" - This limited edition print is a commemorative gift to the loyal fans of Brooks Robinson who honored him on THANKS BROOKS DAY at Memorial Stadium, September 18, 1977. It is a reproduced from the original Norman Rockwell oil painting with permission of A-T-O Inc.

 When Figgie International was sold in 1994, Sotherby's auctioned several of Norman Rockwell's original paintings owned by the company. Brooks Robinson obtained the original painting. On Sept. 24, 2022, the Orioles hosted “Thanks Brooks Day,” recognizing the 45th anniversary of franchise icon Brooks Robinson’s retirement. The first 15,000 fans received an 18" x 21.5" poster print of the Norman Rockwell painting “Gee, Thanks Brooks,” This print reads: "Reprinted with Permission of Brooks Robinson"
