NOTES:
 
   In 1986 the Ora-Care Corp. of Cleveland marketed small Louisville Sluggers tiny baseball bat toothbrushes. The Sluggers which officially went on sale in August, at selected stores in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. The following year they were made available nationwide. The toothbrushes are licensed by major league baseball and offer logos of every major-league team. The whole project is sponsored by the Dave Winfield Foundation and sale profits go to the Foundation’s health care program. The Baseball Bat Toothbrush at $1.99 offers three rows of soft nylon bristles and lists easy access to teeth and gums, and the “specially designed plastic handle improves grip.

 The back of the package features a black-and-white picture of Dave Winfield in a batting stance, with his facsimile signature to the right. Below a baseball card like statistic box, with career stats from 1973 to 1985. Below are "Tips For A Better Batting Record" and "Tips For A better Dental Check Up" By Dave Winfield. The tooth brushes sold in 1988 do it have the Dave Winfield endorsement.

 The comic book advertisement "Archie and Dave Winfield in The Clean-Up Hitter" appeared in the Archie Romance Series, October 1986 No. 17 issue of Katy Keene.
