This Ted Williams Lucky Strike
Cigarette ad appeared in the October 25
1954 issue of Life Magazine. Lucky
Strikes Cigarettes was just one of many
products Ted Williams endorsed over the
years. An era when sports figures
commonly advertised for tobacco
products. I can't even imagine some of
today's ballplayers pushing Nicotine
for Marlboro.
This advertisement
states: "Its Toasted To Taste Better! Baseball's fabulous Ted
Williams is an expert fisherman and an
enthusiastic Lucky smoker. "Indoors and
outdoors, Luckies are a really great
smoke" says Ted..."
