The Caring Program for Children is a non-profit organization
that provides healthcare to needy
children in the United States. In 1993, Crest's
support helped thousands of children
receive the care they need. Each time
you purchased specially marked
packages of Crest toothpaste with the
Caring Program sunshine logo and send
in the certificate printed inside the
box, the Crest company donated 50 cents
per certificate (up to $300,000.00) to
the Caring Program for Children. This
offer ran from January 15, to June 30,
1993.
Crest also offered this Caring Team of Athletes, Collector's Baseball with
stamped signatures of the Caring Team
of Athletes. You received a Rawlings
simulated leather ball by mail free,
when you bought three Crest 4. oz. or
larger tubes of toothpaste, plus $3.00
Postage and Handling. The Caring
Athletes is comprised of players from
each of the 28 major league baseball
teams, listed below. Every time a
Caring Team player got a hit, Crest
toothpaste made a donation to the
Caring Program for Children. The Caring
Team of Athletes earned $650,000,
in 1992. The total for 1993 was
$1,119,350.
