The Dave Company was only in
business for a couple of years, working
out of New Vienna Iowa. In 1945 "Dave" took out want ads in
the Des Moines Newspaper for factory
built wood turning shapers (lathe) and table
saws, with or without motors, needed
immediately. He noted that he was not a
dealer and instructed to "Call Dave" at
8-4865.
From June to August 1946, "Dave" took
out Want Ads in the Des Moines Newspaper
to advertise the bats. There were four Dave Co.
Precision Balance baseball bats
offered, Major League Waner Style,
DiMaggio Style, Gehrig Style, and
Reiser Style. "Dealer setups
available." All the bats were made with
reverse branding. After 1946 "Dave" falls
off the face of the earth. No company
information avaiable, no psychical address, no
last name known for "Dave."
