NOTES:

Rev-O-Noc was the in-store brand of products for Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. Hardware. The brand name Rev-O-Noc, introduced in the early 1900's, is Conover spelled backwards which was the last name of John Conover the Vice President of Hibbard, Spencer Bartlett and Company. The hardware dealership was the descendant of a Chicago store called Tuttle, Hibbard & Co., which took that name in 1855 when William G. Hibbard became a partner. When longtime company employee A. C. Bartlett became a partner in 1882, the company's name became Hibbard, Spencer & Bartlett & Co.

Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. had a large selection of hardware, tools (True Value tools introduced in 1932), cutlery, paints, Firearms, and sporting goods which included baseball bats made by Louisville Slugger. Catalogs from 1915 to 1919 feature The REN-O-NOC Cub line of baseball bats. The REN-O-NOC branded baseball bats featured the "munificent coloring of the cub transfer" (decal) on the barrel. The catalogs also featured the 2C Boys' ring bat, white ash painted green, with a red band and black stripes.

The 1922 Hibbard, Spencer & Bartlett & Co. catalog listed Louisville Slugger bats exclusively, without the HSB & Co. REN-O-NOC brand. The REN-O-NOC baseball bats were made by Louisville Slugger for a short time. There was also a C200 baseball bat made with an "HSB & Co. Chicago" branding that might have been made at an earlier time. In 1962 Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. was sold to John Cotter & Co. for the True Value Brand Name, leading to True Value Hardware (TruServ Corp.) in 1997.
