NOTES:

The center brand on this Hillerich & Bradsby Co. baseball bat is unique to the No. 150 line of baseball bats. Unlike the the high quality bats that Read "Louisville Slugger" at the top of the oval or the inexpensive store model bats that read "Hillerich & Bradsby Co." this center brand reads "It's A Louisville." This label first appears in catalogs around 1932, offered with player's name in block letters. As Illustrated it also had the "It's A Louisville" branded above the players name on the barrel. The 1935 catalog lists that the No. 150 was available with "players such as Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Roger Hornsby Chuck Klein and others."

By 1949 the No. 150 became the catalog designation for the "Professional" model. The bat featured a "Professional" branding on the barrel with the players name in block letters below. The bat was also available in a special model, and given the catalog no. 150S. Special models are turned to slightly smaller dimensions made for use by high school level and teen-aged ball players. Sometime in the 1950's the No. 150 was used for the "Grand Slam" model. The "It's A Louisville" center brand was changed to the H&B standard branding, with "It's A Louisville" branded to the right of the oval. By 1970 the No. 150 was discontinued.
