  Peerless Sporting Goods Co. Trademark Banner Olympic-Peerless Brand Baseball Bats

NOTES:
 
    Banner was the trademark brand of athletic equipment for the Peerless Sporting goods Co., a retail, distributor business, located at 513 Broadway N.Y.C. There is little known about the company, and catalog information is not available. The Peerless Sporting Goods Co. operated in the 1920's until about the 1940s when at some point they became the Peerless brand name for the Olympic Sporting Goods Co.  Athletic equipment distributed with the Banner and Peerless brands were manufactured by major companies. Baseball gloves were made by goldsmith and Wilson. Baseball bats were made by Louisville Slugger, and possibly others.

  The Circular Center brand reads "Peerless Sporting Goods Co. NY." along the outer rim, centered by "Banner" with "Trade - Mark" above and below respectively. Models include; American League No. 100 (on the barrel), Sure Hit, and Official Player, RR Model. A later center brand reads "Peerless Sporting Goods Co. N.Y.C." along the outer rim, of a centered octagon, which reads "Banner" with "Trade - Mark Reg" above and below respectively. Above the logo reads "Seal Of Super Quality" Another center brand has "REG U.S. PAT OFF." below the logo. The model No.'s below the logo Include; No. 120 Joe DiMaggio Model (block Letters), Joe Cronin Model (Block Letters) No. 35 Little League. No. JB Little League.

 The Olympic-Peerless center brand reads "Olympic Sporting Goods Co. NY.C." around a circle with "Peerless" pinched in the center with "Brand" below. Along the top of the logo reads "Seal Of Super Quality" The model numbers below include Block Letter endorsements; No. 37 Major League Duke Snider Model, No. 50 Professional Player Bobby Doerr Model ,No. 50 Professional  Player Ted Williams Model, No. 85 Major League Johnny Mize Model, No. 100 Professional Player Mickey Mantle Model, No. 128 Norm Cash Safe Hit, No. 130 Jackie Robinson, No. 130 Major League Nelson Fox, No. 145 Yogi Berra Model, No. 145 Professional Player Henry Aaron, and No. LL2 Little League Mickey Mantle Model.
