The 1974 Famous Bobble Head Mascots was manufactured by Sports Specialties Corporation for distribution by Danny Goodman Concessions. Bobble Head dolls were made for all 24 Major League teams that existed in 1974. Made in Taiwan, the 7" Bobble Head doll stands on a round gold base, and came in a red windowed box with white printing. The bottom reads "Made in Taiwan (C) 1974 Sports Sped. Corp. LA-Cal 90024" wrapped around a gold sticker that reads "Danny Goodman Concessions Dodger Stadium L.A. Cal. 90012 Taiwan"

Danny Goodman, the Dodger Marketing Genius known as the greatest baseball paraphernalia salesman in the history of the game introduced the bobble head doll to the U.S. market, the idea brought over from Japan in the 1950s. He first introduced the bobble head doll, a chubby player with rotund cheeks and a smile, at Gilmore Field, a former minor league baseball park that served as home to the Hollywood Stars of the Pacific Coast League. By the 1960's All Major League teams were selling bobble heads at the stadium's.
