NOTES:

In 1910 the "Geo. Davis Co., Inc." and the "P.R. Warren Co." of Massachusetts together issued this “Orange Borders” baseball set. The cards cut from the box measure 1-1/2 by 2-7/16 inches. The boxes were produced in 1910 and printed with the “Geo. Davis Co., Inc.” and the “P.R. Warren Co.,” Warrenville Lowell, Mass.” on the end flaps as well as “American Sports" - "Candy and Jewelry”

These blank-backed cards are hand-cut from the candy boxes and, according to the box, "This Is One Of A Set of 144," though only a few dozen have surfaced. Each card featured a black-and-white posed picture of a player against an orange-hued background, with his last name printed at the bottom of the card. Each box also featured one team card.
