NOTES:

The standard deck of Russell's Rustlers "Base Ball Boys" playing cards was made by Willis W. Russell Card Co., in Milltown, New Jersey. The cards have a 1906 copyright and most likely date to the 1906-1910 era but all the Sample advertising cards have a local Major League team schedule from 1910.

The Sample Schedule Card features an advertising at the top that reads: "Russell's Famous Playing Cards "Base Ball Boys... Sample of No. 136 Rustlers --6 Poses-- $3.00 per doz. delivered cash with order. 25 cents a pack at stores. Willis W. Russell Card Co. Milltown, Middlesex Co., New Jersey." At the bottom of the 1910 Cleveland Naps Schedule (pictured above) is an advertising slogan for the Cleveland Newspaper, the Plain Dealer.  The Sample Cards were most likely distributed through the local Newspaper of that city. There is also a 1910 Washington Senators schedule with a slogan for the Washington Herald at the bottom.

The Sepia tone red or blue, Rustlers "Base Ball Boys" playing cards feature 6 different studio player poses. The Joker card is in black & white and has a player in a fielding position that reads: "At The Plate" 4 of the six poses are pictured on this page include: Player catching (above), and below player fielding, player covering Base, and Player Pitching. Other advertising sample schedule cards, and the two missing player poses will be added when they become available.
