Given the designation R113
by the American Card Catalog, the 1936 National Chicle
Fine Pen Premium Baseball Card Set
consists of 120 unnumbered cards.
Printed on thin paper these photos were
made available directly from the
retailer. They are called "Fine Pens"
by collectors, as opposed to the
1936-1937 Goudey "Wide Pen" issue,
which uses similar photos, but with
distinctly thicker signatures. the fine
pen premiums have blank backs, and most
feature black & white portraits of
players in different poses. The
remaining photos feature multiple
players, specific games, or coaches and
managers. Key cards include: Hank
Greenberg, Lefty Grove, Honus Wagner
and Bill Dickey. The premiums in the
checklist below are listed in
alphabetical oreder.
