NOTES:

The 1939 Play Ball - America baseball card set consisted of 161 baseball cards numbered 1 to 162. Card 126 was not issued. The red, white & blue, "Play Ball - America" wrapper features the official insignia of Baseballs Centennial. The wrapper and cards both advertise "250 pictures" in a set, but this number of cards were never achieved. The "Play Ball" sets were produced from 1939 to 1941. Production halted in 1942, as wartime paper rations were enacted and the company did not return to making trading cards until 1948, then under the Bowman name.
