In 1963 Pepsi-Cola issue 24 Tulsa
Oiler baseball cards, on two card
panels with a hole at the top to hang
on bottles. The Oilers, located in
Tulsa Oklahoma, were a Double A Texas
League team Affiliated with the St.
Louis Cardinals. Two Pepsi baseball
cards came with each carton of Pepsi.
Save all 24 cards, match them with the
players' names located under the cork
in each bottle cap, and you could win
$24.
All 24 sets of baseball cards and bottle caps could
be presented at the Pepsi plant,
by 12:00 Noon on Saturday, July 13,
1963... or postmarked by noon on that
date if you planned on mailing the set
to: Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company, Box
7427, Tulsa, Oklahoma. The cards were
returned to you with the $24... Save
any 10 Pepsi baseball cards, take them
to Oiler Park on Pepsi-Oiler nights...
Show them at the gate and you will be
admitted free. You also needed
to be accompanied by an adult.
Pepsi-Oiler Nights were May 28, June
11, June 18, July 2, and August 20.
Pepsi gave away over $40,000.
