NOTES:
 
    The top of the 1968 Topps Baseball Cards wax pack display box pictures Mickey Mantle swinging a bat, below The word "BASEBALL." To the left behind the umpire and catcher is the Topps logo above the words "Major League" and to the right "5 cents BUBBLE GUM" Some of the 24 count boxes of wax packs featured Carl Yastrzemski, game card inserts on the side panel, with the opposite panel advertising 22-Karrot gold decorated glassware. The other boxes feature a National League player with the uniform #7 sliding into 3rd base covered by a St. Louis Cardinals player, on one panel, and the opposite, Bazooka alerts retailers of free gifts being offered on the bottom of the box.

  The bottom of the box pictures some of the gifts that can be claimed By using a number of Topps/Bazooka gift certificates. A full valued certificate was "packed inside every 480-count 1 cent Bazooka gift certificate deal, and a 1/2 value certificate in every 48-count 5 cents Bazooka bar and clip gift certificate deal." The retailer could also write in for a full 48 page catalog with the entire selection of gifts.

 The empty boxes typically sell for about $75.-$150. in excellent - Near Mint condition. The boxes that feature Carl Yastrzemski can sell at a premium.
