In 1990 Good Humor sold Big League Ice
Cream Bars with ice cream sticks shaped
like baseball bats which carried the
facsimile signature of 'Your Favorite
Player' on the barrel end. The 26 stick
set were individually numbered by
players name in alphabetical order. The
number is placed on as a center brand
sandwiched between "BIG LEAGUE" at the
top, "GOOD HUMOR" at the bottom,
separated by a star at each end. A Good
Humor Ice Cream Big League Sticks Album
was also available through a mail-in
offer.
Licensed by Good Humor the idea of the collectible ice cream sticks was
ex-Yankee Jim Bouton, who came out with
Big League Chew in 1980. The shredded
bubble gum that came in a pouch,
emulating the tobacco spitting players
of the past.
