In 1989 CMC-Collectors Marketing Corp.
issued four baseball card collectors
kits featuring; Babe Ruth, Joes
Canseco, Don Mattingly, and Mickey
Mantle. Each kit included a tri-fold
booklet with a Story about the player
(e.g. "The Mickey Mantle Story"); a
limited edition baseball card set of
20, and a Flexi-disc "Talking Baseball
Card," all housed in an embossed
collectors album.
The Yankee blue Baseball card album measures 6" x 8⅛"
and features a white
embossed Yankees Stadium Facade, Mickey
Mantle facsimile autograph, and Yankee
logo on the cover. There are 8 pocket
pages that fits 4 cards each. the last
3 pages are empty. The "Mickey Mantle
Story" booklet which is inserted into a
plastic pocket inside the cover, has a
picture Mickey Mantle on the front,
with his career stats on the back.
Inserted in the back plastic pocket is
the
"Mickey Mantle Talks About Switch
Hitting" Flexi-disc record Talking
Baseball Card.
