Lollar a 7 time All-Star, broke into the Majors with the Cleveland Indians in 1946, played for the NY Yankees in 1947-1948, STL Browns 1949-1951, and the Chicago White Sox from 1952-1963.

The 1948-1953 no. 5 (pictured above) featured molded and corrugated fibre protectors. Knee cap well padded. Corrugated fibre instep protector. Leather shock absorber feature. Adjustable elastic leg straps. Basically the same design, model No.'s 7 & 7C were sold around 1954-1956.

By 1958, Rawlings used the catalog designation OC, which featured; Heavy double waterproof fibre. Navy and orange corrugations. Leather shock absorbers. Knee cap is fitted with Aire-Gaurd Vinal backed with White Felt and flat leather bound. Instep padded with Leather-Covered Aire-Gaurd Vinyl. Easy-hook fasteners with longer leg straps.

In 1961 mildew-proof aerotex was added to the Aire-Gaurd Vinyl padded knee caps. The 1962 model featured Armor-Lite Plastic parts and Cantilevers riveted to corrugated shin pieces, with metal snap fasteners.
