The 1957-1960, Junior League baseball
watch was produced by the Bradley Time
Company. Bradley specialized in
children's character wristwatches such
as Roy Rodgers, Dale Evens, Robin Hood,
Junior Nurse, or Ballerinas. Bradley
Time, a division of Elgin National
Industries, produced Disney watches
between 1972 and 1985.
This Junior League wristwatch features
a colorful action picture of a baseball
and player on the dial. The polished,
chrome plated case has a stainless
steel back, and matching expansion band
for $7.99. It was also sold as part of
a jewelry set that came with a tie bar,
and cuff links. Matching rhodium
finished tie bar with baseball figure
motif, and a 'ball in glove' cuff
links. The set came colorfully packaged
in a clear-view plastic 3-D pictorial
gift box, marketed together with the
"Jewelry Set" which was mounted on a
red backing card.
The "Official Wrist Watch and Jewelry Set" backing card pictured above,
was most likely inserted into another
packaged watch set. It featured a pair
of baseball glove cuff links, and a
baseball player (batter) tie clip.
