Mantle Maris T-Shirt

Mickey Mantle Roger Maris white 100% cotton tee-shirt made by Norwich. The silkscreened artwork design was created by Uni-Wear Inc. and features images of both Mantle & Maris in a batting stance, head shots, and accompanied by their facsimile signatures. The Maris/Mantle T-shirts came in sizes 2 to 16. These t-Shirts were part of the product line sold by Manny's Baseball Land for $1.90, which at the time was located across the street from the Yankee Stadium Bleachers at at 831 River Avenue, Bronx 51, NY.

New York Yankees rookie Bobby Murcer (pictured below) might have bought his Mantle Maris T-Shirt at Manny's Baseball Land before 1978 when they moved to New Jersey. Manny's was the place you bought your pennants, player photos and many of the baseball souvenirs of the day. Founder Manny Koenigsberg, used to hawk them on the corner before opening the business that included mail order merchandise.
