The Major League Baseball Promotions
corporations, in conjunction with the
American, and National Leagues,
provided these slides to ABC Monday
Night Baseball in 1977.
The Ektachrome slides were distributed
in sets to media outlets, and network TV,
for use during the telecast, such
as with a commentary on a player. Each
2 inch by 2 inch slide, has the
player name, position, team name and
slide number on the front. The National
League slides start with the prefix "N"
the American "A" The back is
blank.
The slides were stored in a yellow box labeled "ABC MONDAY NIGHT BASEBALL
1977" with the Official MLB Logo above
it. The set consisted of 264 slides, 10
players representing each of the 12
National League teams, N-3 through
N-122, and 10 players representing each
of the
14 American League teams, A-7004
through A-7134. Included in the set of
slides were; * Bowie K. Kuhn,
Commissioner, N-1 Charles S. Feeney, NL
President, N-2 Major League Logo, and
A-7002 Lee MacPhiil, AL President.
