NOTES:
 
   The 1956 Topps Baseball Button set consists of 60 players. The pin back buttons measure 1-1/8 inches and used the same portraits found on the 1956 Topps baseball cards. The player's name was followed by his fielding position at the bottom, and team city and nickname on each side at the top, against a solid color background. At a cost of .05¢, the buttons were sold in a red, yellow & blue box which pictures a Ted Williams button,  and came with a piece of bubble gum. The unnumbered pins are listed in alphabetical order in the checklist.
